January, 2003 ASK ARNOLD Regularly, we'll choose a few of the letters or emails from the thousands Arnold receives and he'll answer them right here on the web site.
Hi Arnold,
Do you ever use your famous movie lines in your everyday life?
Thanks,
Alex Irvin
Dear Alex,
Yes. In fact, I might even use one or two as I write this, so stick around. :-)
I'll be back,
Arnold
Hi Arnold,
I am trying to get back into regular training after a very long inconsistent lay off period, but with a 3-year old and a new baby, I feel guilty about neglecting the needs of my family to disappear for an hour or so each day, I guess I don't know how you can manage time between work, home and training, any suggestions??
Thank you
Gerard Thomas
Dear Gerard,
Why not get your kids involved with you in your training? Kids love helping their Daddy work out! You can show them the importance of getting and staying in shape, and they can get some quality time with their dad! Put the baby in the carriage and take walks or short jogs with your three year old around the park. It will be great cardiovascular for you, and will burn off their excess energy! Pick up and carry both kids. Play Superman! Be their hero. Whatever the activity, just find a way for them to be involved with you. They will love it, and you will, too. Make sure you get an ok from your doctor and from their pediatrician before you start training.
Get going!
