Escape Plan (2013)
02 June 2013 09:52 AM
Summit Entertainment has the tag team of action legends Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone headlining a new prison escape thriller, which had originally been dubbed The Tomb and set for a theatrical release near the end of September this year, but is now arriving two weeks earlier under the title Escape Plan.
Escape Plan is now scheduled to arrive in U.S. theaters on September 13th, where it will compete with Machete Kills for the attention of moviegoers in the mood for some lunkheaded entertainment. The September release date suggests that studio executives don’t expect Arnold and Sly’s onscreen (mis)adventure to match a big success, but with the right marketing angle there’s no reason a solid turnout has to be written off as impossible (seeing how it does feature two Hollywood icons).
Early descriptions of the script by Miles Chapman (Road House 2: Last Call, Cybergeddon) and Jason Keller (Machine Gun Preacher, Mirror Mirror) indicate that Escape Plan could be another quality offering from Arnold. However, with the original title of The Tomb being exchanged for a cheesier alternative (seriously, it sounds more appropriate for a comedy), one has to worry about the possibility that misguided marketing will rear its ugly head again…

Very exciting to know that Mr. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Mr. Sylvester Stallone are collaborating together and coming up with highly intense and entertaining action films, giving incredible performances and doing exciting stunts in their films even well past their age of 60+ now - both Schwarzenegger and Stallone.
Ex-2 received a lot of accolades from critics as well as fans and now their new movie : “Escape Plan” is coming up !
i learnt from http://www.sylvesterstallone.com website and Forum about Ex-3 being also being made with new action-film legends as well as earlier star-cast also.
It is really great about the camaraderie between Mr. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Mr. Sylvester Stallone - who are the two great legends of Hollywood Action-Films genre !
Let’s wait and watch about how the movie :“Escape Plan” fares at the box-office.
Mr. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s last movie :“The Last Stand”, as well as Mr. Sylvester Stallone’s movie “Bullet To The Head” were unable to set the box-office on fire. So it was kind of disturbing.
Though the multi-starrer movie “Ex-2” was very successful.
So we never know.
However both Stallone and Schwarzenegger are in “Escape Plan” and we have to wait to watch the audience’s response.
A Hollywood film’s success is now determined by audiences from all over the world and not only by it’s collection in USA alone.

Great photograph, glower !
i read about “Escape Plan”‘s story-line that initially when Stallone comes to the high-security prison, where Arnold is already a prisoner, both Stallone and Arnold have a confrontation, but later they become buddies in the prison and try to escape and break out.
The Arnold and Stallone fans like me would definitely want this film to do well at the box-office. Isn’t that so ?
It certainly means a lot to both Arnold’s and Stallone’s career.
