One of the interesting characteristics of Arnold was he didn’t seem to mind be photographed outside of competition shape. You see some good examples of that here. One thing I’ve wondered about is, what year does Arnold consider to be his best shape?

Great photos! Side chest is freaky!. That twisting 3/4 back is the best I’ve ever seen! His shoulder/upper back tie in is amazing. Ditto, the back double bicep, his arms are freaky and the back thick throughout, Legs look great too. He out Pearls Pearl in the relaxed shot. For what its worth, I think Arnold is right! IMHO Arnold is probably the tallest you can be and still be massive and cut. Louie couldn’t carry the needed mass to fill out his frame, and be cut at the same time. When he cut up his shape/size suffered. IMHO Louie looked better when he was more massive and less cut (like Bill Pearl), but that wasn’t the standards he had to compete under. Arnold could be light, like he was in ‘75 and ‘80 and still be massive enough t win. What a freak.
