Great funny photos. i took some of the printouts from the photos in the thread Arnold ( The King) Schwarzenegger. Glower had posted a lot of photos of Arnie. Now i discovered this.

     

i was reading Arnold’s book “Total Recall” and he wrote that since the die-hard fans of Conan were the readers of the Conan comic books the first Conan film : “Conan The Barbarian” was made on those lines with a very powerful effect but Arnold had promised to Dino De Laurentis, the Producer of the Conan The Barbarian that he would make Conan films every two years. But Arnold got offers for new films like “The Terminator”, “Commando”, etc. So Arnold wanted to do these films and approached Dino to be released from the contract. But Dino persuaded Arnold to make another Conan film and also agreed that Arnold was free to commit to and do other films. When Arnold came across the script for the sequel of :“Conan The Destroyer”, he was not happy since the director John Milius who had directed “Conan The Barbarian” was not doing this film and also with “Conan The Barbarian” being “R-rated” capturing the imaginations of world-wide Conan fans due to its brutal power, instead : “Conan The Destroyer” was aimed at family viewers and rated “PG” and was supposed to be a fantasy film. So Arnold was not happy with the treatment of the film. He voiced his opinion but was not agreed to by the new director. Eventually Arnold did the film but as predicted by Arnold “Conan The Destroyer” did not make that much of an impact as the “Conan The Barbarian”. Arnold has also written about the making of “Conan The Destroyer” and how in the make-up room there were lots of quarrels and funny moments with lots of arguments happening. Arnold has written about his entire life and career with succinct descriptions and remarkable accuracy and precision in this book :“Total Recall” !!!
