Arnold ’The King’ Schwarzenegger….

Gradually i have been able to build a collection of Arnold’s movies. First i had bought Red Sonja. Recently i have purchased Eraser, Twins and Expendables-2. i have liked all the four movies on my DVD player.
But the best and most enjoyable for me was Twins. Arnold plays Julius Benedict who is born in a scientific experiment and he has got all the superior genes. Then within seconds was born Vincent Benedict with the waste product genes which was unexpected. They grow up separately and Vincent has a struggling life. Julius is raised in an island and he embarks to find his missing family. Initially he is rebuked and ill-treated by Vincent who thinks only about money but Julius changes him. They have sustainable and healthy relationships with their girlfriends who are also sisters thanks to Vincent’s girl friend due to which Julius finds the love of his life. In the end they turn out to be rich guys and find their estranged mother who thought they had died as children after the experiment.
Twins is my most favorite Arnold movie of mine.
Eraser has lots of action and has the gorgeous female co-star of Arnold the multi talented actress and singer songwriter Vanessa Williams. Arnold plays a witness protection guy from US Marshals where there is lots of danger and conspiracy and smuggling going on. It is very fast paced film. Arnold is all alone in his fight to save Vanessa Williams. There are smuggling of guns and even conspiracy in the political system in this film.
Expendables 2 has an ensemble cast and one of the biggest films ever of Hollywood and i am lucky to have got this DVD of this film. It’s a cracker of a movie. Arnold plays Trench. Everyone knows about this recent film. Superb story and action and stunts and dialogues. Very, very fast paced. Stallone, Bruce Willis, Arnold, Jet Li, Statham, Dolph Lundgren…..It does not get bigger than this. The lady co star of Stallone’s team is very, very tough.

So it is not possible for me to go to far away markets of Delhi and i am searching for the Arnold movies in this shop. Sargent Shriver had said to Arnold :
“It is not what you get out of life that counts.
Break your mirrors.
In our society that’s so self absorbed begin to look less at yourself and more at each other.
You will get more satisfaction from having improved your neighborhood, your town, your state, your country and your fellow human beings than you will get from your muscles, your figure, your automobile, your house or your credit rating.
You will get more from being a peacemaker than a warrior.”

Here’s what Arnold himself writes:
“In fact building infrastructure is only one of three ways to lock in benefit from a dollar one hundred years from now.
Number one is to build public works that will last for long.
Number two is to use your dollar to invest something that will still be used in a century.
And number three is to educate your children and grandchildren so that they see the benefits of knowledge and educate their own children and grandchildren in turn.
Do any of these successfully and you have invested wisely.
You may even be remembered for it.”

glower where are you? I watched the movie “Maggie” It’s a father-daughter poignant relationship story and how Arnold stands by his dear daughter when she is afflicted by a deadly virus disease. It’s a very sad story. The acting performance by Arnold is simply great.

In his book Total Recall Arnold Schwarzenegger writes :
Conan says to Subotai “I remember days like this when my father took me to the forest and we ate blueberries. More than twenty years. I was just a boy of four or five. The leaves were so dark and green then. The grass smelled sweet with the spring wind. Almost twenty years of pitiless cumber ( burdens )! No rest, no sleep like other men. And yet the spring wind blows. Have you ever felt such a wind?”
Subotai says “They blow where I live too. In the north of every man’s heart”.
Conan offers his friend the chance to leave and go home.
Conan says ” It’s never too late Subotai”.
Subotai says ” No. It would only lead me back here another day. In even worse company”.
Conan says grimly “For us, there is no spring. Just the wind that smells fresh before the storm”.
