Hi, My name is Jamie, I’m from Nuneaton, England and I have been strength training these past 10 months to increase my size, strength and to build a strong base from which I can expand from. After I’m 16 I hope to compete in my first powerlifting meet to see how I do.

Before stats:
Age: 14
Weight: 200lbs
Height: 6’3

After
Age:15
Weight: 215lbs
Height: 6’4 (proves that lifting heavy doesn’t stunt your growth)

1RM:
Squat: 370lbs
Deadlift: 350lbs
Bench: 225lbs

EDIT: A bit more information:
Wrists: 7inches
Ankles: 10.5inches
Chest: 42inches
Thigh: 26inches
Biceps: 14inches
Neck: 17inches

My long term goals are: to squat 500lbs, Deadlift 450lbs and Bench 300lbs on my 16th birthday, My ultimate goal is to bring back the “Golden Age of Bodybuilding” I know that is going to be hard, but I’m fed up with how unfamiliar bodybuilding now is, back in Arnold’s day people were decently size, and represented achievable goals for more average people. I want to bring that back.

Dude…

Those are awesome numbers!

Keep up the hard work.  At your age, your body is being pumped full of testosterone and growth hormone naturally, so the harder you work, the bigger and stronger you will get. Keep it up!

Yeah, it’s based around Squat, Deadlift and Bench, and includes Overhead press and Barbell Rows as assistance work. You start of with an empty bar and add 5lbs every session, and you go to the gym 3 times a week. http://stronglifts.com/

Keep at it buddy!  You sound like you’re really motivated and that’s awesome to see from the younger generation.

Really great. I think if you keep at it with age on your side and your progress you can make it to competing.
