USC Schwarzenegger Institute to Host Climate Change Symposium

GOVERNMENT, BUSINESS AND ACADEMIC LEADERS TO DISCUSS THE PROGRESS OF GROUNDBREAKING CALIFORNIA POLICIES IN THE FIGHT AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger today announced that the USC Schwarzenegger Institute will host a symposium with the Air Resources Board and the R20 in Sacramento highlighting how California’s policies made the Golden State a global leader in the fight against climate change, the progress of California’s efforts and lessons learned.

As leaders from across the globe prepare for the United Nations Climate Change Conferences, COP20 and COP21, California’s leaders will gather at the Mary Nichols, Chairman of the California Air Resources Board, will co-host the symposium. Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. will provide closing remarks. 

The symposium will focus on California’s contributions to the climate change fight and explore issues relevant to the upcoming UN Conferences and subnational meetings.
